Project Details
The Milwaukee Harbor District Riverwalk Design Standards is a policy document that sets the requirements, design standards, and best practices for the final nine-mile segment of the Milwaukee Riverwalk system at the inner harbor. The Harbor District Riverwalk will extend the trail system into Milwaukee’s inner harbor and invite the community to the water for the first time by establishing a public access network along the western shore of the Harbor District and the Kinnickinnic River banks. These standards aim to aid the City of Milwaukee in creating a world-class waterfront that responds to the community’s economic, social, and environmental sustainability for the next century. site design group, ltd. (site) led a diverse consultant team including Quorum Architects, Baird, and Stormwater Solutions Engineering in the development of the standards for the City and Milwaukee and Harbor District, Inc.
