Project Details

This Chicago home’s landscape reveals a series of themed garden rooms, drawing inspiration from historical elements and local materials. Reflecting the home’s architecture and heritage, the layout is divided into two main sections: a street-facing front yard and a sequence of private back garden spaces. The Restored Italianate is an urban oasis that extends the home outdoors. Focusing on craft, authenticity, and longevity for this project, the design humanizes the verticality of the side yard, creating a space that is equal parts functional and authentic to the original home’s aesthetic, remaining comfortable and livable for a budding modern family.
