Project Details

The Driverless City: Socio-Environmental Implications to Urban Waters explores the landscape architecture and urban design implications of autonomous vehicles on urban waters. Interviews with professional, governmental, and design experts prompted investigations of current issues with urban water management, its close relationship with transportation systems, and, importantly, the prospect for how a new mobility revolution might affect urban waters during a period of climate crisis. How can we change 20th Century transportation infrastructure into 21st Century human infrastructure that reshapes the social and environmental life of cities?
