Project Details
As a response to City of Chicago’s outdoor dining challenge presented during the COVID-19 pandemic, the interdisciplinary design team developed a toolkit for local businesses. The Winter Layers toolkit is a versatile set of solutions to keep their staff, patrons, and communities safe, healthy, and comfortable while providing a vibrant and fun winter dining experience. Modular, scalable, and based on upcycled and readily available materials, the design is highly adaptable to a diverse range of business and service models. To communicate this toolkit to a variety of users, the team distilled their research and developed a comprehensive video that is accessible to all.
