Project Details

Too often, the design of mobility systems overlooks the lived experiences of women and caregivers. This research centers those perspectives—investigating how gender shapes movement, safety, and comfort in the public realm. Focusing on Howard CTA Station, a complex but critical node, the study identifies barriers and opportunities through a gender equitable lens. Grounded in interdisciplinary methods and community context, it explores how landscape architecture cadn foster more responsive, inclusive environments. What emerges is not just a reimagined station, but a replicable framework for mobility systems that support equity, dignity, and everyday care in cities.
