WEBINAR OVERVIEW:

Rick Hitchcock, senior principal, and Mark Underwood, principal, of Hitchcock Design Group will discuss green infrastructure improvements in Champaign, Illinois.

For decades, the Campustown neighborhood near the highly channelized Boneyard Creek was subject to frequent and significant flooding. As part of comprehensive watershed improvement and related neighborhood redevelopment strategies, city leaders constructed extensive storm water improvement projects at Scott Park and the Second Street Basin. Webinar participants will learn how the improvements have substantially reduced flooding, increased water quality, added valuable community space, connected neighborhoods, and stimulated private sector investment and redevelopment.
