Advocacy Chair
Doug is a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign graduate (BLA, Class of 2007, I-L-L!!!)
and is a registered landscape architect in the State of Illinois. In the early stages of his career,
he was involved in a wide variety of project types before finding his true passion in the
recreation market several years ago where he has now settled into his role as a Principal and
shareholder at Hitchcock Design Group. Working out of their main office in Naperville and living
close by, free time is spent at home with his wife and two little girls who keep him plenty busy
outside of work. Previous chapter experience has been as a participating member of the
Advocacy Committee and attending various events/seminars/etc. Doug is now focused on
taking a more active role in the chapter to help better promote the profession we’ve all come to
love and elevate that experience for other professionals.”
