Project Details
11 Hoyt is an important model for how even urban developments can play a part in restoring resources for pollinators by providing space where both nature and community can thrive. 11 Hoyt transforms its full-block site, formerly a parking garage, into an elevated green podium anchored by a residential tower. Visible from the street yet buffered from its activity, the podium’s 27,000SF landscape supports the innate human instinct to connect with nature and other living beings. A planting matrix focused on pollinators intentionally functions as a waystation for migrating birds and butterflies while encouraging neighbors to meet and interact among trees, gardens, and other amenities.
