Project Details
Created by the City of Chicago, INVEST South/West is an unprecedented community improvement initiative that seeks to strategically reverse decades of systemic public and private disinvestment within the city’s West and South Side neighborhoods. To support these efforts, the City’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) commissioned Borderless Studio and PORT to create a community engagement campaign to guide a Public Art Vision Plan for each INVEST South/West neighborhood. The artist-led campaign, titled Public Art Reimagining Tour with You (P.A.R.T.Y.), utilizes fun colors and graphics, approachable and accessible language, and consistent and recognizable branding to attract attention, increase awareness, and gather community input.
