Project Details
The Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital at the University of Utah (UU) represents a new paradigm for rehabilitation design, one that prioritizes the empowerment of individual patients on their path to recovery. In designing the building and site, particular attention was paid to fostering patient well-being and harnessing the healing power of nature. Local materials were carefully selected to ground the building and its occupants in a strong sense of place, creating a transformative space for recovery.
