Celebration+ Emcee: WGN Anchor Dina Bair

Dina Bair is a 15-time Emmy award-winning journalist who is currently the anchor for the WGN Midday News. In addition, she is the medical reporter for the “Medical Watch” segments on WGN Midday News, WGN Evening News, and WGN News at Nine. Dina has managed a team producing Emmy award-winning documentaries on Violence, Sex Trafficking, and Experimental and intensive care medicine. A natural storyteller, Dina has covered Presidential elections, natural disasters, mass shootings, Vatican News, and Pope Francis’s election. As Medical reporter, she highlights health and wellness, new technology, medical breakthroughs, and breaking outbreaks like Covid-19. After 30 years of covering medical and breaking news, she advises station staff and management, translates critical health information, and lends perspective for response to developing stories.

SESSION 1: COMPOSITION, VALUE, CONTOUR & PERSPECTIVE: 3.0 LACES
12:00 – 4:00 pm Meet at The River Room to board a bus to Graceland Cemetery to join a beginner sketching workshop run by Landscape Architect Dave Lawrie, ASLA. You’ll learn to leverage drawing as a tool for site analysis and communication design intent. Blick Art Material will provide basic drawing supplies.

SESSION 2: THE NEXT CHAPTER FOR GRACELAND CEMETARY: 1 LACES
4:00 – 5:00 pm The Next Chapter for Graceland. The team at Hoerr Scahudt will discuss how Graceland, a historic cemetery, is re-imagining how it can serve its community while honoring its cultural legacy.

5:00 pm Bus back to the venue for Celebration+
5:30 – 6:00 pm Happy Hour for Field Session attendees sponsored by Division 32.
