Webinar: Chicago Region Trees Initiative: Vision, Resources and Empowerment

Join us as Lydia Scott guides landscape architects through a comprehensive look at the Chicago Region Trees Initiative Vision and Plan. She will provide a wealth of knowledge and resources to help assist our work to create more informed design decisions and empower us to become more!

SPEAKER

Lydia Scott, Director of the Chicago Region Trees Initiative; Manager of Community Trees Program    

Lydia’s work focuses on increasing urban forest health in order to improve the quality of life of people who live in urban and suburban landscapes. As director of the Initiative, she employs a wide range of methods and works with a diverse sector of the community to achieve these goals. She leads staff and volunteers from the Morton Arboretum, 12 Advisory Council Members, and communities across the region, as the Chicago Region Trees Initiative works on topics such as forest composition, stewardship, increased forestry professionalism, and climate change in order to improve the health, diversity and canopy cover of the regional urban forest.
